What this page is

The full details of one maintenance request: who reported it, where, how urgent, the description and the photo. At the top you see the request number, the job card number (blue) once a job card exists, and the status.

What to do on this page

  1. Read the request and check the photo.
  2. If there is no job card yet, click Create Job Card at the bottom.
  3. On the job card choose the technician (and assistant if needed), type the planned hours and an estimated completion date, then save.
  4. Come back here any time: the blue job card number at the top, or View Job Card at the bottom, opens the job card.

Training requests

A request raised by the training matrix does not get a job card. It is arranged through a Work Order instead: use Create Work Order / View Work Order. The work order number then shows at the top in blue.

When the job is finished

Once the job card is Completed or Closed, the Completion Information box shows the work done, who closed it, the closing date and the photo of the work. The full sign-off is on the job card.

How Field Ops (HR) measures this work

  • The job counts for the technician and the assistant named on the job card.
  • It counts as done when the job card is Completed or Closed.
  • Its planned hours count towards the person's "Hours used" (planned hours of jobs done ÷ planned hours of all jobs given).
  • If the job goes past its estimated completion date without being finished, it lowers the system's suggested KPA marks.

So: create the job card quickly, assign the right person, type realistic hours and dates, and close it when the work is done.
